Craftsmanship, natural science and design — all from one source
In our studio, natural history preparation meets interior design: We collect, prepare, and preserve insects and butterflies, create custom backgrounds, and frame the objects in sturdy, high-quality display cases. Our selection is complemented by expertly prepared skulls and bones, a range of hand-picked minerals, fossils, and jewelry featuring genuine gemstones.
Every object is created entirely in-house — from preparation to packaging —

Are the butterflies, insects, bones, and fossils real?
Yes, all species are genuine and come from deceased animals. Furthermore, we deal exclusively in non-protected species (nbg).
Only a few individual items, such as bird skulls, are not genuine; however, these are explicitly marked as replicas.
Where do your exhibits come from?
Butterflies and moths
The butterflies, moths, and insects come from breeding projects, private breeders, or soon from our own breeding program. We also frequently acquire butterflies from collection liquidations and estates.
skull and bones
All our skulls come predominantly from the estates of old hunters. We clean and refurbish them.
Furthermore, we receive fox, badger, nutria and marten skulls and bones from a friendly hunter who processes everything from the hunted animals.
minerals
We source our minerals exclusively from specialist dealers and mining companies from around the world.
Fossils
We source our fossils exclusively from a specialist dealer based in Germany with over 40 years of experience with fossils and minerals.
Are the animals killed specifically for this purpose?
Butterflies, moths and insects
We try to ensure that no animal is killed intentionally and select our breeders only after multiple contacts. In this way, we try to guarantee as far as possible that the animals can live their normal lifespans and have time to mate.
Skull with horns
They come exclusively from old estates and are between 15 and 70 years old.
skull
These come from a friend who is a hunter and is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife populations and species in her hunting area. The goal is to avoid unnecessary hunting and, if necessary, to reuse as much of the animal as possible.
We also accept custom orders.
Yes very much .
If you see a butterfly but don't like the background combination, please feel free to contact us via the contact form and let us know your wishes.
The same applies of course to butterflies that you cannot find in the shop; you can always ask us and we will check whether we can get hold of the specimen you are looking for or whether we already have it in our collection.
We do not prepare protected species, including butterflies and moths that you find in your garden or woods. These are protected, especially in Germany. Please leave these animals where you find them. As sad as it may be. :)
Pet memorial
We also prepare your deceased insects. So if you have a deceased spider or similar preserved specimen, please get in touch via the contact form.
IMPORTANT -> After the animal's death, it is essential to freeze it!
